1970 Chevrolet K10 For Sale

SOLD  $59,995 | STREETSIDE CLASSICS | CHARLOTTE, NC

42” meats look so damn good on a bright red Chevy pickup, and here’s the proof. This 1970 Chevrolet K10 Stepside restomod  is being offered for sale by Streetside Classics at their Charlotte, NC location. At $59,995 you’ll obviously pay a premium to own this Action Line Chevy, but considering the quality of the restoration and the many modifications and upgrades, this one might even be a smart investment. At least that’s what you’ll tell your significant other when you buy it.

The 1970 Chevrolet K10 Stepside

The K10 is part of the C/K series of GM trucks produced from 1960 all the way to 2002, and this 1970 K10 was part of the 2nd generation C/Ks. Introduced in the United States in 1967, GM’s marketing department gave the 2nd generation C/Ks the designation "Action Line." While the Action Line would not undergo a definitive model revision through its production, the series underwent gradual changes on a biannual basis.

Classic.com has logged an enormous 1,323 2nd generation C/K rigs auctioned in the last 5 years through the major auctions they track, so let’s take a deeper look at just 1970 models and limit that to the last 12-months for comparison’s sake. In this scenario, the average hammer down was at around $40,000, but values varied greatly depending on spec and condition. Barrett Jackson sold a very similar Stepside restomod for over $63,000 in late January, but that model only had a 350 V8. This one appears to be favorably priced.

SPECS

The massive 42” offroad tires on this thing aren’t the only beef you’ll find in this truck. Peek under the hood and you’ll find a 454 cubic inch V8 that has been stroked to a 468 and further enhanced with a 4-barrel carburetor, aftermarket headers, and upgraded pulleys. It puts the power down through a 3-speed transmission and GM 10-bolt rear end.

Inside the K10, you find a completely new interior, featuring black velour upholstery and black carpet, accented nicely by body color matched metal panels on the interior. It sports all new digital gauges and sound comes from an AM/FM/XM unit with upgraded speakers and Bluetooth capabilities.

As far as condition, it’s perfect. The many detailed photos provided by Streetside Classics–including the underside–show that this thing is just as clean as they come, and that the work was clearly done right.
