7.3L Power Stroke 1998 Ford Econoline E-350 4×4 Camper Van
Fully capable overland 4×4 with the “unicorn” engine rumored to go a million miles. New set of BFG K02 tires have this set up for new adventures. 2 wheel drive mode gets you around most obstacles but shifting into 4 or 4 low plus locking the front axle can keep you moving through spicy situations. 4.10 gear helps deliver plenty of torque for towing with a tow package built in and engine chip to add 50, 75 or 100 hp keep the van above what would be slow pace.
The interior is all remodeled as a camper with 2 rear captain chairs or configure it with the 2 person bench to swap out, making seating for 5 with seatbelts. The rear area gives open access to the fridge, microwave, goal zero 1500 battery and storage areas. A 2 person bed slides out from the side bench with bright reading lights. There is a massive amount of storage space on both sides under the bed and under countertop. The roof rack has cross bars and latch points with I’ve run 2 roof boxes on the cross bars to haul the outdoor gear. 2” hitch both in front and rear which I keep a 6 bike rack in the rear, let me know if interested in a bike rack. Rooftop AC for when you stop is super powerful. Awning off the rack allows for shade and cover when you set up Basecamp.
Prepare yourself to be stoked every time you drive the beast. And prepare yourself for others to be stoked by seeing it. You may get stopped by envious people anytime you pull over. I’m the 3rd owner after conversion was done by an off-road racing fabricator.
