Massively modified and no expenses spared with new engine, upgraded to a 5-speed transmission, Lift Kit and High End interior treatment and with an incredible and unique paint job in Desert Sand Military Style (chip resistant)! The replacement 151ci “Iron Duke” inline-four was installed approximately 10k miles ago by Jones Automotive Engines of Spokane, Washington, and it is equipped with a Holley two-barrel carburetor, a tubular header, and a replacement distributor. A replacement engine wiring harness and dashboard wiring harness were installed in 2011 along with a replacement fuel tank sending unit. A data card from the engine installation lists casting numbers and compression readings. A winch controller, operation manuals, and service records dating back to 1988 are included in the sale.
This 1982 Jeep CJ-5 was fitted with a replacement 151ci inline-four and a five-speed manual transmission approximately 10k miles ago, and it has been modified with a suspension lift kit, Rubicon Express dampers, 15″ ATX alloy wheels, aftermarket bumpers, a Warn front winch, LED taillights, rock sliders, black Vinyl-trimmed Corbeau front bucket seats, Corbeau racing harnesses, and a Bluetooth stereo. The exterior was refinished in military-style Desert Sand paint during the build, and additional equipment includes a dual-range transfer case, manually locking front hubs, a fold-down windshield, a roll bar, a fold-and-tumble rear bench seat, and a heater.
The truck was previously finished in black, and it was repainted in military-style textured Desert Sand during the build. Exterior details include a 27k-lb capacity Warn Powerplant 9.5 front winch with a synthetic winch rope as well as a Warn Rock Crawler front bumper, a roll bar, a Bikini-style top, a black grille cover and headlight surrounds, headlight stone guards, a fold-down windshield, Poison Spyder rock sliders, dual side mirrors, Trail Tail LED taillights, a Hi-Lift jack, a CB radio antenna, a Smittybilt XRC rear bumper, and a receiver hitch.
A 4.5″ suspension lift kit and Rubicon Express dampers have been installed, and further details include heavy-duty leaf springs, greaseable spring shackles and main eye bushings, a drop pitman arm, and anti-sway bar disconnects. Black-finished 15″ ATX alloy wheels are wrapped in 35×12.50″ BFGoodrich Mud-Terrain T/A KM2 tires, and a matching spare is mounted on a hitch-mounted carrier. Braking is handled by front discs and rear drums, and the truck is equipped with stainless-steel brake lines, manually locking front hubs, and power steering.
The Corbeau bucket seats are trimmed in black and feature white headrest embroidery. Additional details include Corbeau racing harnesses, a retro-style Bluetooth stereo head unit, a hidden stereo antenna, aluminum shifter knobs, replacement shifter boots, all-weather floor mats, a fold-and-tumble rear bench, a Cobra CB radio, and spray-on bed liner on the interior body panel surfaces.
A three-spoke steering wheel fronts a black dashboard with a centrally mounted 85-mph speedometer with inset gauges for fuel level and coolant temperature, along with readouts for voltage and oil pressure. The six-digit odometer shows 126k miles.
Power is sent to the rear or all four wheels through a retrofitted five-speed manual transmission and a dual-range transfer case. The selling dealer notes that the transfer case was overhauled when the transmission was installed, and a transfer case drop-down kit and a transfer case linkage adaptor were installed during the build. Rubberized undercoating has been applied to the underside and frame components.
