Dickinson, a former frontman and guitarist for the English rock band Catherine Wheel, transitioned from music to automotive artistry, channeling his passion for Porsche into creating bespoke vehicles that honor the marque's heritage while integrating modern engineering advancements. The company's name pays homage to both Dickinson's musical career and Norbert Singer, the esteemed Porsche engineer renowned for his contributions to the brand's motorsport legacy.

In January 2021, Singer unveiled the All-Terrain Competition Study (ACS), a groundbreaking project that expanded the company's repertoire into the realm of off-road motorsport. This endeavor was initiated at the behest of a long-standing client who envisioned an air-cooled 911 capable of excelling in grueling off-road competitions like the Baja 1000 and Dakar Rally. To bring this vision to fruition, Singer collaborated with Richard Tuthill, a distinguished expert in rally-prepared Porsche 911s. Together, they engineered a machine that seamlessly blends the iconic aesthetics of the 911 with state-of-the-art off-road performance enhancements.

The ACS draws inspiration from Porsche's illustrious rally history, particularly the 911 SC/RS and the Paris-Dakar-winning 959. Built upon a 1990 Type 964 Porsche 911 chassis, the vehicle undergoes extensive modifications to meet the rigorous demands of off-road racing. The chassis is fortified for enhanced durability, and the body is outfitted with lightweight carbon fiber panels designed for swift replacement and easy access to critical components. The suspension system is overhauled to feature long-travel capabilities, incorporating twin five-way adjustable dampers at each corner, significantly increasing ride height and suspension travel to navigate challenging terrains with ease.
