- Comprehensive Frame-Off Restoration: The restoration was designed, commissioned, and overseen in Costa Rica by our client, a renowned United States-based Doctor of Architecture with Costa Rican heritage. During the process, the body and frame were sandblasted, refinished, and repainted, and the undercarriage, powertrain, suspension, and braking components were all refinished in gloss black with a blue metallic pearl accent, ensuring durability and aesthetics.
- Rebuilt Powertrain & Updated Mechanical Systems: The original Toyota 3.6L "H" inline-six diesel engine has been fully rebuilt and is paired with an H41 four-speed manual transmission and a dual-range transfer case. The drivetrain sends power to K082 axles, while an upgraded suspension with new leaf springs, shocks, and soft-ride shackles enhances ride quality.
- Custom Exterior Upgrades: Featuring a striking Light Blue Metallic finish, this HJ45 is equipped with LED headlights, front bumper-integrated fog lights, off-road rear tailgate-mounted lights, and a custom beige canvas and brown marine vinyl bikini top. The Toyota Land Cruiser J40 series is one of the most revered off-road vehicles ever produced, known for its durability, reliability, and global versatility.
