The first-generation C/K series was the replacement for Chevy’s Task Force range  and was launched in 1960. Although it was purpose built as a truck, it leveraged several features from cars into its design to increase its functionality and comfort. For example, the C/K trucks had a drop center frame allowing for a lower center of gravity and lower cab, and an independent front suspension and coil sprung rear axle. The C/K series was only available in a standard cab pickup body style, and came in two bed lengths, available as a Stepside with fenders and a step in front of the rear wheel, or as a Fleetside, offering standard fenders. Production of the 1st Gen Chevrolet C10 lasted from 1960 through  1966, when Chevrolet introduced the 2nd Gen C/K, the “Action Line.”

In terms of values, we’re going to give you the data from Classic.com as we often do, but let’s be honest, how can you put a price on something so unique? It’s really, really difficult. Looking at the last 5 years of data, one of the quickest conclusions you can draw is that these have been selling for prices all over the map. With a top sale recorded at a staggering $214,500 and one not far behind at $198,000, it’s clear that these can command some value, depending on the level of restoration and customization. This particular example comes in just $10 above the 5-year rolling average, and if you compare some of the trucks that have sold in this range, we think you’ll see that this is a fair price indeed.
