Land Rover Range Rover Classic BLACKDEN EDITION 004 RUSSET

Channelling Roger Moore’s exploits in 1983’s Octopussy, this Range Rover Classic’s beautiful new Russet Brown paintwork and backdated look harks back to the 80’s whilst providing the performance and refinement of a 90’s 3.9 V8, 5 speed manual and air conditioning. Texas Titled.
$85,000 – Enquire to discuss any further bespoke work as desired.
BLACKDEN EDITION 004 is presented in pristine new Russet Brown paintwork complimenting a brand new leather interior in rich, deep tan.
Mechanically and cosmetically, it continues the BLACKDEN EDITION ethos of combining timeless style from the first two decades of production of the Range Rover, the 1970’s and 1980’s, with the enhanced driving experience offered by the powertrain and features of the last few years of development and improvement of the late 1980’s and early 1990’s, notably: Injected V8 engines, 5 speed gearboxes, and air conditioning.
Another low mileage example, this 3.9 injected V8 has covered just 139,000km or 86,000 miles, which is mated to a 5 speed manual gearbox and drives beautifully.
Following a comprehensive engine and drivetrain overhaul, this already well preserved example is driving superbly and provides a comfortable, engaging and rewarding experience behind the wheel. A list of works completed to the vehicle mechanically is available upon request. Full engine rebuilds or indeed engine swaps are possible with this example as desired.
Inside, the brand new rich leather interior is a wonderful place to be. The deep tan ties in harmoniously with the mid 80’s exterior in Russet Brown and the fluted, vertical stitching of the seats and deep pile new carpeting evokes the look and feel of both the 70’s Suffix era cars and indeed the style of interior which continued into the 80’s. Stitched into the underneath of the carpeting and foot wells is Dynamat sound deadening insulation to enhance the cabin experience and reduce road noise. All of the seats have been re-padded with new foam as well as being reupholstered.
A Blaupunkt bluetooth radio and new, upgraded speakers allow for a modern audio experience and phone connection. Ice cold air conditioning enhances the driving experience and once again, provides for the modern touches of the later model Range Rover Classics juxtaposed with the charm and backdated styling cues of the past.
The eagle eyed, marque enthusiasts will also note that the vertical rather than horizontal front grille and light surrounds are those from the 1970’s Suffix era models along with no lower front spoiler. Finally, yellow/amber Hella Comet spot/fog lights tie in with the backdated aesthetics.
