The First Generation Ford Bronco 4x4: Beyond Iconic.

With the International Scout taking America by storm with its brash utility and boxy handsomeness, Ford Product Manager Don Frey (the father of the Ford Mustang) sought to introduce something from the blue Oval that had all the off-road grit and might of the Scout, but that brought a bit more comfort for daily driving. Enter, the Ford Bronco. The legend.

The Market Value of the First Generation Ford Bronco.

Market values for 1st generation Ford Broncos are really all over the map, and really depend on the originality, modifications, condition, level of restoration and year. Taking a quick look at the year to date data courtesy of our friends at www.classic.com, you can see that these values do swing wildly, from the custom 72 sold at Barrett Jackson back in January for a whopping $335,000, to the “beater” 72 that sold on BaT for $26,250 in September. At its current asking price, this is an upper-middle-of-the-pack example, but if you poke around below, we think you’ll find it’s a fair number.
