The 1992 Toyota Land Cruiser VX is a full-size luxury SUV that was produced by the Japanese automaker Toyota. It was the top of the line model of the Land Cruiser lineup and featured a 4.2-liter 1HD-T Turbo Diesel that made it a capable machine. The VX model came equipped with standard four-wheel drive, as well as Toyota’s advanced off-road technology, such as a locking center differential and a two-speed transfer case. The VX model also featured luxury amenities such as leather seat covers, a sunroof, and a premium sound system. The 1992 Land Cruiser VX was well-regarded for its off-road capabilities, spacious interior, and overall reliability. Of course this example is no exception.

This 1992 Lifted Land Cruiser Turbo Diesel has a stance and poise that makes a statement, and it comes equipped with plenty of goodies to make it an off-road warrior. Connected to the Road, Dirt, Mud, Sand, or whatever surface you decide to take this Land Cruiser on is a set of 16 inch MKW Off-Road (Potentially Bead-Lock capable) wheels, wrapped up in some Healthy Federal Couragia M/T Mud and All-Terrain tires, for a combined 35 inch Diameter! With large wheels like that, you need plenty of clearance, which is afforded by a massive Poncho RZ9000 Lift Kit. When you’re on trails you don’t always have abundant lighting around, and this SUV is equipped to handle that. It has LED swapped Headlights, as well as an added LED lightbar. In the rear it also comes with an LED block for Lighting up the rear in situations where it may be necessary. The Rear bumper also has an added trailer hitch which is a nice touch. The Black paint on this Land Cruiser also is still in fair condition with no signs of major damage or fading. With this one being a VX, it comes with plenty of goodies for the highest end trim in 1992. Heated Seats, Roof mounted Compass and Altimeter, adjustable rear heating, and a sunroof are some key features that come to mind. Speaking of, seats bolstering is still in tact and provides fantastic comfort. The seats themselves are wrapped in black faux leather seat covers that are form fitting and provide additional durability over the factory cloth, and they also give the added benefit of being able to remove and clean them easily which would be expected if this vehicle sees Off-Road use.

The dash has a couple of added switches to control the exterior lights, and a Carrozzeria Navigation Head Unit, but other than that it is stock. The visibility in this Land Cruiser is impressive and also essential given the height off the ground. Without a doubt the most important attractions to an SUV like this one are the Powertrain.

The Larger 4.2L 1HD-T Turbo Diesel engine is part of what sets this Land Cruiser apart. It is more capable than it’s smaller displacement alternative seen in most other Land Cruiser’s, and since it was more expensive back in the day- it is also more rare. It goes without saying that this VX is also equipped with 4WD and paired to an automatic transmission, but this one also has the highly desired and highly sought after Center Locking Differential which makes it exceptionally capable in Off-Road applications, and is almost essential in both Necessary and Hobbyist use-cases. With 240,024 verified kilometers on the odometer (149,144 miles) any Land Cruiser enthusiast will tell you this one has tons of life left to give- after all there’s a reason in some of the most challenging terrain like seen in Africa, old Land Cruiser’s are still the go-to. This Off-Roading enhance 1992 Land Cruiser VX is sure to tackle anything you are ready to throw at it, and with rare features that make this one a gem, it’s sure to put a smile on your face every time you jump behind the wheel
