About The 2014 Jeep Wrangler Polar Edition

Released in 2014 after its introduction at the Frankfurt Auto Show, the Polar Edition Jeep Wrangler is a limited production, one that was created in deference to the Antarctic’s challenging climate extremes. The Polar Edition boasts eye-catching exterior enhancements, but strengthens these superficial touches with serious internal upgrades.

Standard power comes from a Pentastar V6 engine, generating 285 horsepower and operated by a six-speed manual or available five-speed automatic transmission. No matter which drivetrain you prefer, all 2014 Jeep Wrangler Polar Editions are outfitted with a Rubicon-spec Command-Trac NV241 part-time dual-range transfer case, in addition to a Trac-Lok anti-spin rear differential. But, if you’re the type who’s more likely to push the envelope when it comes to the Wrangler’s off-roading capabilities, you can always equip your Polar Edition with an electronic locking differential, courtesy of the Rubicon model.

Choose either a two-door or four-door configuration for your Polar Edition, priced at $33,490 and $37,190, respectively, with exterior colors ranging from Billet Silver Metallic, Bright White, or the brand new for 2014 Hydro Blue.

Other exterior enhancements include details like 18-inch alloy wheels, body-color hardtop completed with tinted sunscreen glass, Powerdome hood, Mopar fuel door, and cosmetic clues to its Arctic inspiration like mountain graphics and geographic coordinates along the fender badges of Antartica’s Vostok, home to the lowest temperature ever recorded.
