About This 2016 Toyota Tundra TRD Off-Road 1794 Edition.

This 44,165 mile Tundra started life as a 2016 Toyota Tundra TRD Off-Road optioned with the 1794 Edition package (more on that below), an already capable off-road vehicle that could be used as a daily driver if you so choose. Those who know, do both.

The Tundra is powered by Toyota’s 3UR-FE 5.7L V8, a 32-valve DOHC motor, a wildly durable motor that has Toyota put through more than 800,000 miles od durability testing. It’s mated to a 6-speed automatic transmission, a part-time selectable four-wheel-drive system, an automatic limited-slip differential (Auto LSD), and a 4.30:1 axle. 5.7-liter V8 Tundras came from the factory with the towing package, which adds engine oil and transmission coolers, an integrated trailer hitch, and larger than standard brakes.

The 2nd generation Tundra received a major mid-cycle refresh in 2014, including styling enhancements like a larger grill, more pronounced fenders, and a restyled tailgate and tail lights. On the inside, refreshes included new seats, gauges, controls, vastly improved ergonomics, and a redesigned dashboard.

What’s a 1794 Edition Tundra?

In 2014, Toyota introduced a new “1794” luxury trim package for the Tundra, which is akin to the King Ranch Ford or High Country Chevy. The name comes from the year in which the cattle ranch that Toyota’s Texas factory sits upon was founded. All 1794 Tundras come equipped with heated and ventilated front seats, wood trim, a premium audio system, and more.
