ABOUT THE FJ COMPANY G43
This G43 started its life as a green 1976 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ43 soft top, a variant of the 40 series that featured a 5.7” longer wheelbase than the FJ40. It has been a hot commodity in the collector market because of its unique interior configuration and relatively limited production compared to the FJ40.
This one is on another level, though. The skilled craftsmen at The FJ Company extensively modified this ‘76 G43 starting with repairing and straightening all of the steel panels, and also fitting a hard top to this example. The exterior has been restored and equipped with the standard grill and badging, custom crafted bumpers, and coated with a stunning coat of Freeborn Red and several other touches like high-quality lighting and an exterior mounted offroad jack.
Mechanically they’ve equipped the G43 with a new Toyota 1GRE-FE V6 engine with 228 horsepower, a 5-speed manual transmission, a custom stainless steel exhaust and an incredibly capable suspension that will take the FJ wherever you’d like to take it.
On the inside the G43 sports lush seats, a modern a/c system, modern gauges and a premium Bluetooth-enabled sound system and LED interior lighting. They call it the perfect combination of classic and modern, and we think they’re spot on.
