Welcome to the auction of my highly original 1960 Ford F-250 outfitted with factory four wheel drive. As the story goes this truck was used at a water reservation on the front range of Colorado. A some point in its life, the truck had a Gin Pole hoist set up on the front and was likely used to pull irrigation/water pumps. I was told and believe to be true (though I don't have paperwork to substantiate) that this truck never left the property and is believed to have only 11,000 original miles. It's a true time capsule, and everything on the truck is as it was in 1960, except for the patina that has been lovingly crafted by mother nature over the last 63 years. I look forward to seeing it go to its next caretaker.
- Matt M.
- Rare, highly-original third-generation 1960 Ford F-250 with factory 4-wheel drive and Winter Weiss flatbed original to the truck when new. The approximately 11,000 miles are unverified, but believed to be original. Â
- While the exact production figures are unavailable, 4-wheel drive F-250s are much more difficult to source than 2-wheel drive variations or the smaller F-100 and figure to total in the low thousands.Â
- Powered by the 223 ci. "Mileage Maker" inline 6 engine, which is mated to 4-speed manual transmission and rare factory 4-wheel drive.Â
- Original PTO Tulsa winch installed when new. This 3/4-ton truck also features the highly-desired four-headlight design only available for the 1960 model year, and the upgraded 19.5 in. wheels. Additionally, all emblems, knobs, and badges are original.Â
- The exterior shows in solid shape including an excellent original patina, but the seller does note some minor dents and gravel-induced holes in the rear cab corner. Sellers also notes minor rust in the floorboards, minor exhaust manifold leak, and minor oil leaks.Â
- Recent work includes new master and slave clutch cylinders, new master brake cylinder, tires, reupholstered seat with new cushion, and passenger window.
- Clean Colorado title.
