Thank you for viewing the auction for this highly-original 1976 Jeep CJ-7 Renegade. I'm excited to bring this Jeep to market on Fourbie and help bring it to its next caretaker.

I purchased this Jeep from the previous long-time owner out of the Pacific-Northwest. He was an avid “survivalist” and had outfitted this Jeep as his “bug out” vehicle. To that end, for the last 15 years the Jeep was kept in “ready to go” condition, in a climate controlled garage, where he started it monthly. Over that time period the Jeep only traveled approximately 300 miles as evidenced by the last oil change documentation. At 92 years old he could no longer operate the clutch and felt it was time to find a new caretaker for the Jeep.

During my ownership I have worked diligently to return the Jeep to a more factory correct appearance. Tracking down original and rare parts that are not in reproduction such as the 1976 specific Levi tan seats, one-year-only factory radio, original aluminum slot wheels, and other items. The Jeep presents with original single-stage paint in 6V Sunshine Yellow and factory Renegade decals in gold. Paint presents well and has patina consistent with a 48 year old vehicle. Scratches and minor dents are evidenced around the entire body. Paint chips are abundant on the grill, windshield frame, and forward face of fenders from having spent time being towed behind a motorhome by a previous owner. Decals show cracking and some fade but are complete and correct for the year. No major accidents or body work has been performed. No major rust or rot other than minor surface rust on underbody components. Floor pans are solid and original. Previous owner sprayed floor pans black after the original paint had rubbed down to bare metal. They have since been resprayed with a close matching yellow. All lights and gauges function as they should. Original clock lens is cloudy but clock functions. Original radio function is unknown and it is currently only for appearance.
