This 1987 Toyota Land Cruiser HJ75 pickup has been disassembled, refurbished, and modified, with work started in Costa Rica in 2022 and completed following import to the US in 2024. Work during the build included retrofitting an 80-Series specification 4.2-liter 1HDT turbodiesel inline-six, differentials, and suspension components along with extending the cab by seven inches, a repaint in white and black, and adding an aluminum radiator, a framework over the bed, a custom rear canopy, roof racks, LED lighting, tubular side steps, modular bumpers, a front winch, 17" Black Rhino wheels, and a custom stainless-steel exhaust system. The truck is equipped with a five-speed manual transmission, a dual-range transfer case, and manually locking front hubs. Inside, the truck was retrofitted with later-style bucket seats, brown upholstery, air conditioning, a center console, a Pioneer touchscreen head unit, and a rearview camera. Acquired by the selling dealer in 2024, this modified Land Cruiser HJ75 pickup is now offered with a clean Texas title.

The body was removed from the frame and the cab was extended by seven inches before the truck was repainted in white with a black hood, tailgate, and lower bodywork. Additional details include a tubular structure over the bed with a custom canopy as well as dual roof racks and an LED light bar, headlights, fog lights, reverse lights, and brake lights. The truck was also fitted with a replacement grille, modular steel bumpers, tubular side steps, a 12k-lb capacity winch, a receiver hitch, and retrofitted black wheel arch extensions.

The 17" Black Rhino Barstow alloy wheels feature gold-finished centers and are wrapped in 315/70 Maxxis Razr MT tires. The selling dealer tells us that 80-Series suspension components were installed during the build and additional modifications include an aftermarket steering stabilizer and springs along with Ironman Foam Cell shock absorbers. The truck is equipped with AVM manually locking front hubs as well as power-assisted four-wheel disc brakes.

The retrofitted height-adjustable bucket seats are upholstered in brown with contrasting stitching, and they are complemented by a matching center console, upper dashboard pad, and door panels. The lower portion of the dashboard has been finished in gloss black, and additional details include Pioneer touchscreen stereo, Pioneer door speakers, aftermarket accessory switches, a retrofitted air conditioning system, a rearview camera, and Land Cruiser-branded door caps with cup holders.

A later-style four-spoke steering wheel fronts a 160-km/h speedometer and supplementary gauges, and the six-digit odometer shows 424k kilometers (~263k miles), approximately 100 of which were added by the selling dealer. Gauges for boost pressure and oil pressure have been added in place of the instrument cluster air vents.
The retrofitted 4.2-liter 1HDT turbodiesel inline-six is said to have been sourced from an 80-Series Land Cruiser, and it is equipped with an aluminum radiator.
Power is sent to the rear or all four wheels through a five-speed manual transmission with 80-Series specification differentials. The frame was finished in gloss metallic gray before the truck was reassembled. A custom stainless-steel exhaust system was also installed. The clutch was replaced in July 2025.
