These cavernous interiors have loads of room for friends, family, and cargo. This cabover design is also visually appealing, and this HiAce makes a statement. The view of the road ahead is commanding without any forward obstruction and visibility doesn’t get any better than this Toyota. The dashboard lacks any cracking or fading and the climate controls are close by mounted in the middle of the center stack. A new A/C compressor was installed to keep the heat at bay for the summer and when winter rolls around, the cabin can be kept warm, too, thanks to adjustable front and rear climate control. If you prefer more natural ventilation, the side glass pops outward, the front windows can power down and three moonroofs can be cracked open. The front unit is manual and tilts upward and the rear two are powered. The middle panoramic roof is ideal for sleeping under the stars at your favorite campsite! Power locks and power mirrors make daily use more enjoyable and the seating is soft and well cushioned for longer drives. The middle row can swivel 180 degrees and like the rear row slides fore and aft. The seats can even be folded into a bed-like sleeping surface. The upholstery lacks any major rips, stains or tears and dare we say it provides a perfect compliment to the exterior aesthetic. Sadly the power folding function of the side mirrors has given up the ghost, but in the grand scheme of things that does little to take away from this van’s appeal!

This mid engine 4WD van displays decent driving dynamics and is a remarkably refined platform. The 3.0L is fresh off an oil and filter service and churns to life care of a new 12v battery we installed at the shop. It settles into a comfortable idle and we have lubrication addressed with a fresh oil and filter service and a new valve cover gasket to seal things up. A coolant flush was performed to keep your cooling system at peak efficiency, and not much else was needed to get this hauler ready for a thorough road test. The diesel shoots power to a full time 4WD system, and it’s easy to get up to and maintain highway speeds. The rear panhard bushings were replaced, and we replaced the rear swaybar link bushings to get the handling compliant with state safety regulations. This van passed inspection with flying colors and the fresh Yokohama rubber ensures you’ll have a stress free driving experience. The brakes bite hard and the brand new tires do a lot to increase traction and keep road noise to a minimum.
