2014 Ford F-150 SVT Raptor

SOLD | LUXURY AUTO COLLECTION |  SCOTTSDALE, AZ

If you love the process of buying a truck and modifying it, look away. If you love the idea of driving a heavily modified rig, but don’t want to spend the time and money to do so, this one's for you, because it has been absolutely BUILT. This 2015 Ford F-150 SVT Raptor with 111,500 miles is being offered by Luxury Auto Collection out of Scottsdale, Arizona. While $57,500 (UPDATE: PRICE REDUCED TO $45,000) might seem like a lot for a 7 year old Raptor with that mileage, you’re going to want to take a really close look at what’s gone into this build. It’s ridiculous and we love it.

To sweeten the deal, let Doug DeMuro tell you why buying this 2014 Ford F-150 SVT Raptor is positively, definitely, without a doubt, a great financial decision:

The Model.

A street-legal counterpart to an off-road racing trophy truck, the SVT Raptor takes a F-150 as a starting point and optimizes it for off-road use. Raptor is fitted with four-wheel drive as standard equipment, a mid-travel suspension system, wide fenders, fat all-terrain tires and a beastly engine with 411 horsepower and 434 lb-ft of torque.

The suspension is trick, with Ford’s Special Vehicle Team, or SVT, fitted the F-150 SVT Raptor with Fox Racing internal bypass shocks with external reservoirs, giving the rig a stunning 11.2 inches of front suspension travel, and 12.1 inches in the rear. The rear leaf springs and the front upper and lower A-arms were redesigned, widening the track by seven inches and lifting the truck by two inches. The rear axle had a locking differential with a 4.10:1 gear ratio and the front was outfitted with a Torsen helical gear limited slip differential.

The Raptor was the first Ford with hill descent control, using its ABS to minimize driver modulation of the brakes increasing control of the steering. In off-road settings, the Raptor can be driven in sport mode (traction control off) and "full off-road" mode, which meant there was no electronic intervention except ABS and the throttle and ABS were reprogrammed for low traction.

The changes between the F-150 and the Raptor didn’t stop with performance. Sharing only its headlamps with the F-150, the SVT Raptor has a modified front fascia, a composite hood, wider fenders and grille-mounted clearance lamps. The Ford Blue Oval was replaced by "FORD" lettering in the grille.

With a mean look and performance to boot, this is one badass truck, even in stock form. This particular example, though, is far from stock. The specs are going to blow your mind.

The Specs.

This built beauty is in incredible shape and has an absolute buttload of upgrades. And if you are skeptical, the seller outlines the cost of all of the upgrades in the listing, and it sure does total $75,000 over and above the cost of the truck.

It has deep, shiny Tuxedo Black Metallic paint that, again, looks awesome for a truck that’s been driven for 111,500 miles. The only visible flaw is that the red-trimmed leather in the interior appears to have a bit of discoloration in certain spots. It’s hard to tell if it can be cleaned or if the color change is permanent, but it’s a small sacrifice for a really incredible truck.
