1979 Chevrolet K10 4x4

SOLD  |  Ducauto Collection  |  Miami, FL

Overview

The team at Ducauto Collection are proud to bring this beautiful, highly-original 1979 Chevrolet K10 Silverado to market. If you're into classic Squarebody Chevys,  you're going to want to make an offer on this truck today. This would make an absolutely perfect driver.

This truck is an older restoration that has been finished in its factory two-tone Cordova Brown & Camel and has a Light Buckskin interior. The K10 is solid throughout with only a couple of very minor rust spots as shown in the gallery. It benefits from a lifted suspension, and rides on its original Rally wheels that have been color matched, giving it just the perfect stance.

Power comes from a 5.7L V8 that runs great, thanks in part to a major service in 2021 that included new head gaskets and various other maintenance items. The 350 Turbo transmission shifts smoothly, with the exception of a thump when shifting into reverse. The A/C blows cold, and the interior is in fine shape, including a vintage woven seat cover. The radio does not work.

What a truck. Make it yours.

About the Chevy C/K Line of Trucks

The Chevy C/K line of trucks holds a significant place in the history of American automotive manufacturing, having been produced by Chevrolet for several decades. The "C" designation referred to 2WD models, while the "K" designated 4WD variants. These trucks were renowned for their durability, versatility, and capability.

The Chevy C/K trucks underwent various generational changes over the years, each offering improvements in design, performance, and features to meet evolving market demands. From their introduction in the late 50s to their eventual discontinuation in the early 00s, the C/K trucks were available in a wide range of configurations, including different cab styles, bed lengths, and trim levels.

The third generation of the Chevy C/K trucks, which spanned from 1973 to 1987, marked a significant evolution for the lineup. This generation saw a shift towards modernization, with updates in styling, performance, and features to better compete in the increasingly competitive truck market. Introduced in 1973, these trucks featured a more squared-off design compared to their predecessors, with a larger emphasis on comfort and convenience. They were available in body styles, including regular cab, extended cab, and crew cab configurations.

The Scottsdale trim, which is what this rig is, was a mid-level trim option available for the Chevrolet K10 pickup truck. Positioned above the base model but below the higher-end trims like the Silverado, the Scottsdale offered a balance of features, comfort, and style. It typically included amenities such as upgraded interior materials, additional exterior trim, and optional convenience features. The Scottsdale trim catered to buyers seeking a blend of affordability and enhanced specifications without the premium price tag of the top-tier models.
