This is not your average Jeep. I originally built this Jeep specifically to Pre-Run the Baja 1000, after racing motorcycles and wanting a capable 4-wheel machine to tackle one of the most intense off-road race courses in the world.
I have close to $100,000 invested in the build and have receipts documenting the work. The build was designed for serious off-road use while still being capable on the street.
I intentionally left the exterior unpainted, giving it a rugged sleeper look while eliminating the worry of paint chips and scratches. Underneath, however, there is nothing "sleeper" about it.
Unfortunately, a serious motorcycle accident ended my racing days, and the Jeep never made it to Mexico. Since then, it has literally been sitting in the barn on my ranch. It has seen very little use. I've even taught three family members how to drive a manual transmission in it — and eventually my wife decided she liked it enough to steal it from me!
The exhaust sounds incredible and really gives this Jeep the attitude you'd expect from a purpose-built off-road machine.
The transmission has an extremely low granny first gear, so around town we typically start in 2nd and effectively use it as a 4-speed. First gear is incredibly low and will crawl and climb through terrain where most Jeeps would struggle. The remaining gears have the ratios to get you moving quickly, and it is surprisingly smooth and comfortable at freeway speeds.
