clean- Lamborghini Goes Off-Road: The LM002 was produced from 1986 through 1993 as part of Lamborghini’s short-lived “Militaria” program. It was a bold move for a brand known for low-slung supercars, but the end result was something completely unique. A luxury off-road truck with serious performance credentials and unmistakable presence.
- Countach-Derived V12: Power comes from a 5.2L quad-cam V12 borrowed from the Countach. Mounted up front, it produces over 400 horsepower and transforms what looks like a military vehicle into something far more exotic. It’s paired with a 5-speed manual transmission and a ZF dual-range transfer case, giving it both speed and real off-road capability.
- Engineered for Extremes: The LM002 rides on a tubular steel frame with aluminum and fiberglass body panels. Independent suspension and coil springs at all four corners help manage its size and weight, while the driveline setup allows it to handle terrain that most high-performance vehicles wouldn’t even approach.
- Luxury Meets Utility: Inside, the LM002 delivers a surprisingly refined experience. This example features a full black leather interior with woodgrain accents, a leather-wrapped Nardi steering wheel, factory VDO instrumentation, air conditioning, and power windows. It also includes a removable rear storage compartment and sliding rear glass.
- Well-Preserved Example: This truck remains largely original and presents in excellent condition. Minor wear is noted on the driver’s seat, consistent with mileage, but otherwise it shows as a well-kept, properly maintained example. It includes its original tool kit, jack, and owner’s manual, and has recently undergone a full annual service.
- Iconic Design: With its angular bodywork, massive stance, and purposeful details like rear jump seats and oversized tires, the LM002 looks like nothing else on the road. It’s equal parts supercar, military truck, and luxury SUV, decades before that combination became mainstream.
