1998 Jeep Grand Cherokee 5.9 Limited Bright Platinum Rock Crawler. 5.9L Magnum V8 engine, producing 245 horsepower and 345 ft-lb of torque. Only around 14,000 to 15,000 units were produced in 1998, making it a rare, single-year production model. The 5.9 ZJ was highly sought after for its performance, boasting a 0-60 mph time of 6.8 seconds, which made it the fastest SUV in 1998.

ARB front bumper with Mile Marker winch, Trail Ready rear bumper, oil skid, transfer case skid, gas tank skid, new cat, 8 inch Rustys long arm lift, Teraflex high steer knuckle, 1 ton aluminun tie rod, track bar and rod ends, Fox Steering Stabilizer, 1 ton rear Tom Woods double cardan drive shaft, Tom Woods front drive shaft, 456 gears, Cable front Ox Locker Dana 30 trussed and reinforced C gusset ends with RCV axles, rear Eaton Elocker limited slip/switch on demand electric locker in Ford 8.8 axle 456 gears with skid plate and ARB diff cover. Currie Antirock torsion sway bar units front and back. Cross drilled disc brakes. Heavy duty rocker guards. Bilstein shocks. 242 transfer (2 speed, 2wd, full time and part time 4wd )case with extreme duty internal chain and gear set. 46RE transmission.  5.9 L Mopar Magnum engine with no oil consumption or leaks (Mobile One oil). Has always passed California smog, recently current. Mopar headers, K&N air intake. Interior in good shape (consistent with 200,000+ mi, some repaired seat cracks. Dash has a crack that is covered with matching leather in the dash well tray above the glove box. All operational ( except sunroof), 2 remote key fobs and keys. Milage shows 202,000 due to recently replaced Body Control module to resolve alarm issue. Actual milage approx 270,000. 2 owners; Lease return at 50000 mi, then myself.  Additional 150amp alternator and starter for trail repairs. The 98 5.9 was a limited edition and has many options including premium Infinity Gold sound system, heated front seats, electric windows and mirrors, etc.  Air Conditioning works well.  New optima battery 3/25.  Front and back hitch receivers. The heater core, evaporator and AC compressor have been replaced. Transmission and heads replaced @ about 150,000 mi by dealership with mopar remanufactured parts. Paint is in good shape except 3x5 area next to driver hood vent (has been poorly touched up) and roof has sun damaged clear coat and paint. This ZJ has attended Easter Jeep Safari in Moab 14 times and has successfully completed many of the difficult trails, multiple times, including Golden Spike, Metal Masher, 3D Pickle , Steel Bender and many more. Drives great on the pavement (although it does not handle like a stock vehicle) but performs on the trails!  I'm selling this vehicle as an off road vehicle and in "as is condition".
