My 2003 Land Rover Discovery II S is outfitted for overland camping and adventure! 165,000 odometer miles, but with a new Atlantic British short block engine installed at 122,000 mile -- in excellent mechanical condition! V8, 4.6L 4WD. I purchased the truck from a Land Rover outfitter in the Charlotte NC area in 2018 and have performed regular maintenance in addition to replacing short block as mentioned above. Recent work (last 18 months) includes: Head gasket ( all new gaskets: exhaust manifold gaskets, intake manifold gaskets, timing/front cover gaskets, valve cover gaskets, oil pan gasket --this is the rare Land rover that doesn't leak fluids!), alternator, radiator, thermostat, water pump, new brake rotors and pads.

Tires new within last 12 months with around 5K miles of wear (See picture). This truck is being sold completely configured for overland adventure and camping! Includes a rooftop rack with LED light bar, Mombasa rooftop tent that comfortable sleeps 2, an ARB awning room (8' x 8') that converts from a shade awning to a fully enclosed room with floor, mosquito netting and walls. Also included is a 48" recovery jack, 2 Max Trax traction boards, 2 90 watt solar panels that connect to charge the battery while camping, ARB air compressor for airing up/down tires for off driving and 2 Bao Feng mobile HAM radios units.

This '03 Disco is unique in that it features a 2004 Discovery locking differential -- a highly sought after feature. Added to the front is a G4 Edition front bumper. The truck has a 3" lift with HS Bilstein shocks and recently upgraded front drive shaft. The front features a 48" LED light bar, the rear has a 24" LED light bar, the rear end of the truck has been slightly modified to add a Greg Davis steel bumper. Auxiliary Fuel and Water tanks on the rear ladder.

The inside is in very good condition with original leather seats intact and clean carpet and recent headliner replacement. I've added a Pioneer aftermarket audio system with 7" LCD screen. The system is compatible with Android Auto and Apple Car Play. Also added hardwired Sirius XM antenna and back up camera system.

I've owned and maintained the truck from 2018 to present. I purchased it from a friend that owns and operates a Land Rover repair and overland outfitting business and it was his truck from 2015 to 2018. This truck was involved in an accident in 2009 and was declared a loss at that time, although there was no structural damage . It was rebuilt and issued a branded, reconstructed title rehabilitating it from a safety and insurance perspective. As described above, there has been a lot of regular maintenance, a new engine, over land gear and equipment added. From 2018 through early 2024, this truck was mostly my daily driver! A solid survivor of the popular Land Rover Discovery!
