This 2011 Ram 1500 R/T is a regular cab, short bed, two-wheel-drive sport truck built around the 5.7L Hemi V8. The R/T was Ram's street-focused take on the half-ton pickup, offered only as a regular cab short bed with rear-wheel drive and the Hemi, and set apart by a sport performance hood, R/T badging, and body-color exterior trim. This example builds on that formula with a lowered IHC suspension setup and a Borla exhaust, finished in blue over a gray interior.

Power comes from the 5.7L Hemi, rated from the factory at 390 horsepower and 407 lb-ft of torque in this generation, backed by a 5-speed automatic and sending power to the rear wheels. Ram marketed the R/T at the time as the quickest pickup in its class, and a Borla S-Type exhaust gives the Hemi a more pronounced voice than the factory dual exhaust, fitting for a truck built with performance as its priority.

The truck has been lowered using IHC suspension components, with IHC control arms up front and IHC shocks in the rear. Out back, the solid axle is located by a four-link, coil-spring rear suspension. Combined with the R/T's 120.5-inch regular cab wheelbase, which already made it more responsive than the longer Quad Cab and Crew Cab configurations, the lowered stance leans further into the sport truck character the R/T was designed around. It sits on 20-inch wheels, and a roll-up tonneau cover keeps the bed covered and secure while still giving full access when you need to haul something. Inside, the gray interior carries blue accents throughout that tie into the exterior color, and a touchscreen infotainment system with navigation handles audio and directions.

For someone who wants a full-size truck that leans toward the fun end of the spectrum, this R/T takes one of the more focused factory offerings from this era of Ram and sharpens it with a lowered stance and a louder exhaust, while keeping the practicality of a covered short bed.
