The RAM 1500 TRX is a different breed of 4x4, combining power and capability like few others. The TRX was first launched for the 2021 model year and commemorated with a Launch Edition package, an package limited to 702 total examples, all of which were in the exclusive Anvil Gray exterior.
This 2021 RAM 1500 TRX Launch Edition is for sale by Fusion Motor Company in Chatsworth, CA for $148,888 and features only 38 miles: the lowest mileage examples we've seen on the open market.
WHAT IS THE RAM 1500 TRX?
In the term "TRX" was used as a trim level for Dodge trucks dating back to the early 2000s to help indicate more off-road-oriented 4x4 trucks. Notable examples include the Dodge Dakota TRX and Dodge Ram 1500/2500/3500 TRX. These models didn't pack the Hellcat engine that the TRX moniker is synonymous with today, but they were still plenty capable thanks to suspension, plating, and tire upgrades.
Fast forward to 2016. RAM, now a separate line of trucks since 2009, brought forward the RAM Rebel 1500 TRX: a half-ton off-roader with some serious attitude. It was powered by the 6.2L supercharged HEMI V8 good for 575 hp. mated to 8-speed transmission and some absolutely insane off-road and aesthetic specs. It took the world by storm, but alas, it was just a prototype.
In 2020, the RAM 1500 TRX officially started production for the 2021 model year. The TRX still packed the Hellcat 6.2L supercharged HEMI V8, a powerplant now cranking out an absurd 702 hp. To commemorate the launch, RAM produced a highly-limited Launch Edition comprised of only 702 examples. Each Launch Edition came in Anvil Gray and are the only TRX variations to be offered in that exterior from the factory.
In addition to the monstrous motor, the TRX Launch Edition features a special red and brushed-aluminum center console badge identifying it as a special, limited-edition TRX model. Plus, it includes the Level 2 Equipment Group which adds carbon fiber interior trim, color accent package, heads-up display, 19-speaker Harman Kardon premium sound system, dual-pane panoramic sunroof and bodyside graphics.
Additionally, the TRX sports integrated fender flares good for 8 in. of additional body width, new 18 in. wheels, and 35 in. Goodyear Wrangler Territory All-Terrain tires.
The RAM 1500 TRX Launch Edition was made available for pre-order on August 18, 2020 and completely sold out in just three hours.

We've seen a handful of RAM 1500 TRX Launch Editions pop up over the past year or so, but none so far with this low mileage - just 38 original miles. It's ready for delivery, which in this market is most certainly a selling point over the several months delay we're seeing for newer trucks.
The TRX Launch Edition is loaded with features and options, each impressive in their own right but none quite as spectacular as the 702 hp. supercharged HEMI V8 under the hood, which rocket this truck from 0-60 in 4.5 seconds, putting it in some elite company of any vehicle on the road, but in its own class off of it.
