Listed at $149,900, this R1T was one of the limited-production Launch Edition models that sold out within days when Rivian first opened orders in November 2020. Combining instant torque, advanced suspension, and innovative design, it set the tone for a new era of electric adventure vehicles. 

Rivian R1T: The Ultimate Off-Road Electric Truck 
Rivian didn’t just build another EV, they engineered an all-electric truck capable of real-world adventure. The R1T features four independent motors—one per wheel—delivering an astonishing 835 horsepower and 909 lb.-ft. of torque, launching this 4×4 from 0–60 mph in 3.3 seconds. 

Its air suspension with cross-linked hydraulics and 14.9 inches of ground clearance provide exceptional off-road articulation, while multiple drive modes adjust ride height, throttle mapping, and traction control for terrain or comfort. 

Rivian’s Driver+ system enables hands-free assistance on compatible roads, and regenerative braking effectively replaces traditional hill-descent control. With 62 cubic feet of total storage, including a front trunk, gear tunnel, and under-bed compartments, practicality matches performance.  

Launch Edition Design & Capability 
The Launch Edition R1T came fully loaded from the factory, featuring special badging, dual front tow hooks, and a reinforced underbody shield. Powered by a 128.9 kWh battery pack, it offers an EPA-estimated 314-mile range under standard conditions and a 160–190 mile range during extended off-road use. 

It’s capable of towing up to 11,000 pounds, hauling a 1,760-pound payload, and wading through three feet of water—all while maintaining the refined, minimalist cabin design Rivian is known for.
