- In the 1960s, rising demand for recreation-oriented vehicles led to a surge of alternatives to the popular, yet utility-focused, Jeep CJ. One of the earliest entrants to this new market was the International Harvester, which was produced from 1961 to 1980 and led the charge for competitors like the Ford Bronco, Chevrolet K5 Blazer, and the Dodge Ramcharger.
- This particular example has undergone an extensive restoration by Bulletproof Restorations in Rapid City, South Dakota. The comprehensive build included a mechanical overhaul in which a new 5.3L Vortec V8 engine was installed. The V8 is mated to a 4-speed 4L65E automatic transmission and dual-range transfer case, sending its power to the rear or all four wheels. Additionally, it offers a Wizard Cooling aluminum radiator, Optima Red Top battery, Warn manually locking front hubs, and Fox Racing 2.0 shocks with remote reservoirs.
- It rides on black 17 in. Titan 7T-Ak1 wheels wrapped in Firestone Destination M/T tires. The black wheels complement the black resprayed exterior below the white roof.
- Inside, the passengers are treated to black vinyl and Pepita seats, leatherette floor coverings, luxurious Alcantara headliner and dashboard, air conditioning, RetroSound stereo, and Hertz audio.
- Offered with clean South Dakota title.
