1988 Land Rover Defender 110 For Sale.

$119,000 | BISHOP + ROOK | MINNEAPOLIS, MN

Most of us don’t have $125,000 to drop on a classic 4x4, but if you just so happen to be one of the lucky ones that does, might we suggest this gem? For sale by Land Rover Defender craftsmen and aficionados Bishop + Rook out of Minneapolis, MN is this 1988 Land Rover Defender 110. It sports its original paint with 30+ years of patina, its original rust-free frame, and its original axles, but almost every other aspect of this truck has been painstakingly restored and/or modernized. It’s wonderful and its new caretaker should be you.

The Land Rover Defender 110. 110% Awesome.

The Land Rover One Ten (or 110) Station Wagon, which is what our example is, was the first variant of the Ninety/One Ten introduced by Land Rover in 1983. It represented an evolution of the previous Land Rover Series III, and had a 110” wheelbase, which is where it derived its name. Superficially there isn’t much to distinguish the Defender 110 from the Series III outside of a longer hood, different/more modern grill, and wheel arches to accommodate the wider stance.

This particular Defender 110 comes to us by way of the craftsmen at Bishop + Rook, the pride of Minneapolis, MN. Bishop + Rook is an importer, builder and seller of some of the finest Land Rover Defenders in all the land. They specialize in sourcing imported Land Rovers and maintaining the charm and character of these vintage machines while making sure they are mechanically top-of-the-line. Their offerings range from a $15,000 driver to $150,000 custom restomods. They’ve done some really fine work, but I think this is one of the best.

Specs & Condition.

As mentioned, this Defender 110 is a delightful restomod that is in spectacular condition. It has just the right amount of patina–we’d call it ‘gentle patina’ but is the subject of a significant round of modifications.
