1995 Jeep Cherokee Country 4x4 • 4.0L • 179k • $5,500 OBO
1995 Jeep Cherokee Country 4WD with the 4.0L inline-six and 179k miles. Dark green Country edition with the original-style interior, wood trim, factory wheels, and brand-new Cooper all-terrain tires with approximately 5 miles on them.
I’ve put a significant amount of time and money into this Jeep recently, including:
- Brand-new Cooper A/T tires — approximately 5 miles
- New flexplate
- New torque converter
- Front suspension components
- New shocks
- Water pump/cooling system work
- Additional maintenance and replacement parts
- 4WD system works
Known issues
The Jeep is currently not driving due to a transmission pressure issue following the recent transmission work. The transmission was pressure tested and is not building the pressure it should. I have not pulled the transmission back out, so I’m not going to claim that I know exactly what the cause is. It will need further diagnosis/repair.
The temperature gauge is currently not functioning.
There is currently a quarter-sized hole rust hole in the passenger floorboard. I’ve stopped the leak source to the best of my knowledge. (Side panel grommet).
There are also some cosmetic imperfections consistent with the age of the vehicle, including a dent on the driver’s side.
The original Country pinstriping is currently being addressed. Included with the Jeep is factory-correct replacement Country pinstriping, along with all of the paint/materials I purchased to refinish the gray exterior trim. Everything will go with the Jeep.
The interior is in very nice original condition for its age. The Jeep has been stored indoors during my ownership.
I’m selling it as-is because I’ve decided not to put additional money into diagnosing the transmission. It is not currently a running/driving vehicle, and the buyer will need to arrange transportation.
