This 2006 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon is a TJ, the final model year of that generation before Jeep moved to the redesigned JK platform in 2007. It's showing 60,000 miles and is rust free, finished in black over a gray interior.

Power comes from the 4.0L PowerTech inline-six, rated at 190 horsepower, paired with a 6-speed manual transmission. Backing that up is genuine factory Rubicon hardware: Dana 44 axles front and rear, Tru-Lok selectable locking differentials at both ends, and the NV241 Rock-Trac transfer case with 4:1 low range. This is the same setup that owners of lesser TJ trims spend real money trying to replicate aftermarket, and here it came from the factory.

Rolling stock has been upgraded to BFGoodrich All-Terrain KO2s, a well-regarded street-to-trail tire that trades some of the factory Goodyear MT/R's aggression for a quieter, more streetable ride without giving up much off-road capability.

What makes this particular combination interesting is timing. 2006 was the last year Jeep offered the 4.0L inline-six in the Wrangler; the 2007 JK redesign replaced it with a 3.8L V6 that most enthusiasts consider a step down in both character and long-term reliability.
