This Starwood Customs build has it all–among other things, a top-of-the-line suspension, tough looking aftermarket wheels with big fat 37” meats, a supercharged 3.6L V6 that cranks out 440 horsepower, and enough lights to see clear to Mars.

ABOUT THE JEEP GLADIATOR

Before it became a heavily modified custom Jeep, this thing started life as a 4-door Crew Cab Jeep Gladiator (JT), Jeep’s most recent take on a pickup truck and their first foray into that segment since the Comanche was discontinued in 1992 (RIP).

It was based on the same platform as the JL, Jeep’s 4th generation Wrangler, but added a steel bed that has a payload of 1,700 lbs. Because this truck is frequently used for hauling and towing, the JT also has front grille slots that are slightly larger than their JL counterpart to allow for more airflow and engine cooling. It also has its full-sized spare tire mounted underneath its cargo bed, where it’s normally mounted on the JL’s rear tailgate.

This particular Gladiator was an Overland trim model, one of five available trims on the 2020 Jeep Gladiator: Sport S, Overland, Mojave and Rubicon. While not the top-of-the-line Gladiator, the Overland was the most luxurious with a leather appointed interior with a stitched soft-touch dashboard surface and hand-stitched dashboard.

The Specs.

This Gladiator is a Starwood Custom Kaiser Bandit conversion, likely named after the Kaiser Jeep M715 it so closely resembles, particularly on the front end. It has an extremely long spec list, but the first thing you notice is Starwood’s signature black kevlar finish, adding to the aforementioned sinister vibe. It has sharp looking black aftermarket wheels from Method Race Wheels and ginormous knobby tires, but they aren’t just for show, as evidenced by a well-built suspension featuring a 4” lift and a number of other goodies from King Shocks.
