A cab chassis is the right starting point for a serious build — a flat frame to mount a composite box or flatbed camper directly, with full control over interior height, weight distribution, and departure angle. The 3500 DRW gives you the payload headroom to carry a proper four-season habitat — water, lithium, box, and gear — without running up against GVWR. Pair that with AWD and the 144" wheelbase and you've got a capable, nimble platform that's still trail-friendly.
