The Gladiator’s combination of open-air Jeep character, pickup utility, and genuine trail capability already makes it an unusual proposition. Add the 3.0-liter EcoDiesel, Rubicon hardware, and a special edition created specifically to mark the end of diesel Gladiator production, and you get something considerably harder to duplicate.
This 2023 Jeep Gladiator Rubicon FarOut Edition, offered by its original owner in Castalia, North Carolina, has just 14,175 miles and remains largely as it left the factory. Finished in Bright White Clear Coat over a Black/Dark Saddle leather interior, the truck has never been off-road, has always been garage-kept, and has no modifications to its engine, transmission, or suspension. It was also an expensive Gladiator when new. The original window sticker shows an MSRP of $77,635, with the FarOut-related Customer Preferred Package alone accounting for $12,100. CARFAX reports one-owner personal use, North Carolina ownership from new, and no accidents or damage reported.
- Final-Run FarOut Edition: The FarOut Edition was built around the outgoing EcoDiesel drivetrain and gives this Gladiator a collection of distinctive factory details. These include FarOut fender decals and tailgate badging, a 3.0L diesel hood graphic, satin-black grille, body-color fender flares, body-color three-piece hardtop, steel front bumper, and red tow hooks.
- 3.0L EcoDiesel: Power comes from Jeep’s 3.0-liter turbo-diesel V6, paired with the 8HP75 eight-speed automatic transmission and a 3.73 rear axle ratio. The factory build also includes heavy-duty engine cooling and a 19-gallon fuel tank.
- Rubicon 4x4 Hardware: Underneath, this remains a full Rubicon. Factory equipment includes the 4:1 Rock-Trac heavy-duty part-time 4WD system, wide-track Dana front and rear axles, electronic locking differentials, front disconnecting stabilizer bar, Off-Road Plus mode, rock rails, and extensive skid-plate protection. The truck rides on factory 17-inch machined wheels with black pockets and LT285/70R17 Falken mud-terrain tires. Despite all of that factory capability, the seller says it has never been off-road.
- "Dark Saddle" Interior: One of the more distinctive features of this FarOut is its tan leather-trimmed interior, identified by Jeep on the factory build sheet as Dark Saddle. The lighter upholstery provides a sharp contrast to the Bright White exterior and is considerably less common-looking than the typical all-black Rubicon cabin.
- One Owner, 14K Miles: The seller purchased the Gladiator new and reports that it has always been garage-kept. CARFAX lists one-owner personal use, an average of just 5,236 miles per year, and a last reported odometer reading of 14,175 miles. The history report also shows regular servicing, including oil and filter changes, tire rotations, inspections, and a January 2026 visit that included tire balancing and a battery/charging-system check. CARFAX reports no accidents or damage and no title or odometer issues. The truck remains mechanically stock, while approximately $2,000 in accessories have been added, including a BAKFlip folding bed cover and side steps.
Diesel Gladiators already occupy a relatively narrow slice of Jeep production, and the FarOut Edition represents the closing chapter of that combination. This one adds several things buyers tend to look for in a used example: one-owner history, very low mileage, stock mechanicals, no reported accident history, and no off-road use according to the seller. The Dark Saddle leather also gives it a noticeably different cabin from the more common black-interior Rubicons, while the FarOut graphics and diesel hood treatment distinguish it without relying on aftermarket modifications. For someone who specifically wants the torque and character of the EcoDiesel in a Gladiator, this is about as complete a factory configuration as Jeep offered.
