It sends power through a four-speed automatic transmission to Toyota’s full-time four-wheel-drive system. A dual-range transfer case provides low-range gearing for off-pavement use, while the locking center differential distributes power evenly between the front and rear axles when additional traction is needed. A Toyota dealer installed a used replacement instrument cluster in 2022 but did not match its odometer reading to the unit that was removed.
