LEXUS LX 470: OFF-ROADING IN STYLE.
With the Lexus LX 470, who needs to choose between on-road comfort and off-road performance? The LX 470 is loaded with the 2UZ-FE, an ultra-smooth 4.7L V8 capable of 235 hp. and 320 lb.-ft. of torque - solid output that might not win many drag races, but carries the SUV without fuss or apprehension.
This example features the A750F five-speed automatic transmission, offered for J100s produced after February 2002 for the 2003 model year. The five-speed offered superior acceleration due to lower gear ratios in gears 1-3, as well as a a gated shifter to help protect from slippage. Sport and low-traction modes are available via push-button. Although some drivers cite reduced fuel efficiency compared to the four-speed, the difference is relatively insignificant. Further, the LX 470 offers a two-speed transfer case.
The 2005 LX 470 offers a factory central locking differential, Adaptive Variable Suspension, Adjustable Height Control, 9.8 in. of ground clearance, 32-degree approach angle, and 28-degree departure angle.
