- The Jeep Wrangler TJ succeeded the Wrangler YJ for the 1997 model year. In addition to recalling the rounded headlights popularized on the CJ, the Wrangler TJ improved on-road manners with coil suspension while retaining its legendary off-road prowess. Production of the Wrangler TJ ended following the 2006 model year.
- The 2.4L 4-cylinder is factory-rated at 147 hp. and 165 lb.-ft. of torque, which is sent to the rear or all four wheels via a 6-speed manual transmission and Command-Trac part-time 4-wheel drive system.
- Modifications include 3 in. spring lift, 31 in. BFGoodrich A/T tires, custom wheels, soft top, Rough Country neoprene seat covers, color-changing LED headlights, Hooke Road Wrangler Vader grill, steel tubular bumpers, Metalcloak fenders, body armor, and rock rails, upgraded Bluetooth audio.
