If the Porsche Miami Blue hue on the last Urban Jeep Outfitters Jeep we featured recently wasn’t for you, maybe this Mercedes China Blue rig hits the spot? They’re offering this heavily-customized, highly-beautiful 2019 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Sahara for sale out of their Avon-By-The-Sea, New Jersey shop for an asking price of $75,000.
At its core, this is a four door Wrangler outfitted with the 3.6L V6 motor paired to an automatic transmission and has a little under 20,000 miles on the odometer, but you don’t have to look hard to see the folks at Urban Jeep Outfitters have absolutely had their masterful way with this thing. It’s hard to miss the full strip down and repaint in Mercedes China Blue with tons of color matched and gloss black accents, but its rich look is further enhanced with aftermarket wheels and aggressive Mickey Thompson tires.
2019 Jeep Wrangler (JL) Sahara by Urban Jeep Outfitters.
The Jeep Wrangler is an iconic series of four-wheel drive off-road SUVs manufactured by Jeep since 1986, and currently in its fourth generation, or the JL generation, which is the generation this particular example represents. The Wrangler JL was unveiled in late 2017 and is produced at Jeep's Toledo Assembly Complex in beautiful Toledo, Ohio.
The Wrangler is a direct progression from the World War II Jeeps of old, and an evolution of the legendary Jeep CJ. Like those CJ models, Wrangler models use a separate body and frame, rigid front/rear live axles, flared fenders and a tapered nose, a fold-flat windshield and removable doors. JL Wranglers have part-time four-wheel drive systems, with the choice of high and low gearing. It’s a badass off-road rig, although the Wranglers, and in particular the Jl were specifically designed to be more friendly to the daily driver–safer, quieter, more comfortable.
This particular Wrangler is 1-of-1, unlike anything you’ll see on the road because of work Urban Jeep Outfitters has put into the finishing touches on this Jeep. All exterior plastics were removed, smoothed and color matched, It also has a pretty amazing interior that features supple white leather with matching blue stitching, including matching shifter boots. A portion of the carbon fiber steering wheel is also covered in matching leather, and because it’s not possible to have enough Miami Blue, it’s also got some color matched interior panels.

We recently visited Ernie and Joe at their Avon-By-The-Sea, New Jersey shop, and can vouch for both the in-house capabilities and the quality of their work. One of the things we were able to see firsthand was the effort they take for a repaint like this. They FULLY disassemble a Jeep when they paint it, unlike some other shops that choose to tape and paint. These guys do it the right way, and the proof is in the pudding.
They are currently in the process of renovating and expanding their shop location to better serve their customers, which come to them from far and wide. We look forward to following them and their work, and, if we’re lucky, maybe even owning one of their Jeeps in the future when this Fourbie Exchange thing takes off. 🙂
