1967 Chevy C10 Pickup Truck. Restorer tells me it’s a “Heavy Half,” (3/4 ton rear, 1/2 ton front). Long bed more than likely ordered for farm work. Low rear end ratio 4.11 I’m sure. It feels like you’re wringing its neck over 60 mph. Buyer will more than likely want to change ring and pinion to a 3.73 or even a 3.07 just to make it more highway cruise able.

The V8 is a Chevy 307 rebuilt to stock specs, (not sure if it’s the factory original, but probably “is” because if it was replaced, why would you put another 307 in, compared to a 327 or 350?). Transmission is a 350 three speed automatic. Not a factory set up because with the low rear end you get quick shifts, to where you almost don’t notice the shift from first to second during acceleration.

Only 2,057 miles have been put on this truck since the “frame off” restoration. I know that’s hard to believe, but I have pictures of the odometer during the restoration, (and the odometer cables always been hooked up). No games here. It’s been a garage queen since completion. A three year, frame off restoration, completed in 2016’. It has NEVER been driven in the rain. Never taken through a car wash, never sprayed with water.
Only sponged off by hand.

All new sheet metal body parts: bed, tailgate, cab, front fenders, and hood, (the photos don’t lie). There is a small crease in the lower right of the tailgate, just above the bumper. Didn’t break the paint and photo(s) are included of it.

Paint is a “one step” satin finish, I admit for cost savings. Not as durable as paint with a semi gloss clear, so one has to be careful. Bed liner sprayed throughout bed, sides and even on the top edges of the bed. It matches well with the body paint.

Real nice “CR Laurence” sliding back window kit. Whole interior is beautifully and tastefully done, from the “Dynamat” auto insulation up.

Rims are Cragar Mach Eights fitted with Sierradial Delta LTR 235/75R15 tires with a street-able aggressive tread. Tires were new in 2016’ and I’ve made sure no flat spots developed during storage.

When the truck was completed in 2016’ and I needed insurance, Farm Bureau insisted on an independent appraisal. He came up with $35,000. That was nine years ago and the truck was just completed. But I can tell you it pretty much looks the same now. 2,057 miles on it since, with some cracks in the engine paint, etc. The reasons I’m asking no more than I am are as follows:

  • Too low of a rear end ratio for most tastes.
  • Crease in rear tailgate.
  • Never did order that Sun-visor kit w/brackets for $200 so there’s no sun-visors.
  • Memphis stereo speakers aren’t wired up.
  • Either that or I don’t know how to activate them through the “Custom Autosound” stereo that’s designed to look stock.
  • Not totally happy with the gap on the drivers side door when it’s shut.
  • No air conditioning.
  • Not a short-bed.
  • Seat belts are too short to get around most people. Really there just for looks.

I’m selling this first year of the “Action Line” of Chevy pickups due to my need to downsize. The wife and I need to think about a villa in the near future. After this truck I’ll work on selling a Harley Bobber I haven’t quite finished yet. Now’s your chance for a really nice first year 67’ pickup. No test drives in the rain though. So fair warning…
