2020 Toyota Land Cruiser Heritage Edition

SOLD  $139,800 | RMR 4X4 | BIRMINGHAM, AL

After 2021, it’s curtains for the iconic Toyota Land Cruiser in North America. We’re sad about that, and you’re probably sad too. But the best way to turn that frown upside down is to buy this incredible built 2020 Toyota Land Cruiser Heritage Edition with a little over 10,000 miles on the odometer for $139,800. It’s one of only 1,200 produced and with its bevy of overland-focused modifications, it’s truly one-of-a-kind.

Tomorrow, we weep for the death of the mighty Land Cruiser. Today, we celebrate this incredible Toyota Land Cruiser Heritage Edition build, and implore you to go buy it from the folks at RMR 4x4 in Birmingham, AL.

The Model.

In February 2019, Toyota introduced a Heritage Edition of the Land Cruiser at the Chicago Auto Show as a tribute to the 60th anniversary of the introduction of the FJ40. They only built 1,200 of this special edition, and they only made them as a 5-seater, which meant there was less weight and more room for gear.

For an additional $2,330, the Heritage Edition also included some modest exterior enhancements including 18-inch gold BBS wheels, running board deletes (more ground clearance), vintage style badges, and a Yakima cargo basket.

At its core, the 200 Series TLC is a 5.7-liter V-8 with 381 horsepower and 401 pound-feet of torque, which is a power plant shared by many Tundras, and it’s mated to an 8-speed that’s also shared with other Toyota trucks. Mechanically, these are notoriously reliable, which you can fact check in just about any industry rag that covers reliability.

But the real star of the show is its off-road capability, which is insane. It came with full-time four-wheel drive teamed with a 2-speed transfer case, as well as a really insane Kinetic Dynamic Suspension system (KDSS), which included sway bars that disconnect and reconnect automatically as the terrain calls for it.

It also features off-road modes that modify the stability control, traction control, and enable crawl control. Plus, it has the ability to drag the rear inside tire to tighten off-road turns through its braking system.

The Heritage Edition offered drivers 8.9 inches of ground clearance, an approach angle of 32 degrees, a departure angle of 24 degrees, a breakover angle of 21 degrees, and ability to ford 27.6 inches of water. And that’s in stock form. Heavily modified examples like the one covered here—even at 5,715 lbs in Heritage Edition trim—can do things off-road that would blow your mind. We just love this rig. Knowing the Land Cruiser 300 is not coming to North America in 2022 has us all in our feels.

The Specs.

This Blizzard Pearl over black leather Heritage Edition is not only in perfect condition, it’s modified to the hilt. At the same time, it’s packed with technology and insanely luxurious, as modern Toyota Land Cruisers are.
