1987 Land Rover 90 Beach Runner SEMA Build

SOLD | BRING A TRAILER | ROYAL OVERLAND

Now’s your chance to own something truly special. The folks at Royal Overland are auctioning their amazing 1987 Land Rover Defender 90 Beach Runner SEMA build over at Bring a Trailer, and if we were you, we’d be hitting that “place bid” button right about now.

This 90 was imported to the United States from England  in 2018 before being acquired by Royal Overland in 2021 and subsequently disassembled, refurbished, and hand-built for the 2021 SEMA show. The beach runner style truck was refinished in Marine Blue over white upholstery and is outfitted with a 2.5-liter 200Tdi inline-four paired with a five-speed manual transmission and a dual-range transfer case.

It’s breathtaking and badass. Go bid on it before it ends at Thursday, March 3, 2022 at 2:20 p.m.

About This Defender 90 SEMA Build

We’ve covered plenty of Defender 90s on Fourbie Exchange, but none quite like this one. This 90 started its life as a right-hand-drive model, but Royal Overland converted her to left-hand drive during the refurbishment. As detailed in the images available on BaT, it was a nut-and-bolt level restoration that was crafted in the style of a beach cruiser. While its odometer shows 2 miles, its total mileage is unknown–but truly, does it really matter? With this level of restoration, not really! Royal Overland reports that the radiator, intercooler, and plumbing were replaced during the refurbishment. Mechanically, this is like new.
