1977 Chevy C10 Silverado – Thoroughly redesigned from stem to stern, the all-new third generation C/K trucks for 1973 proved to be the longest lived series in Chevrolet’s history and the three-box styling has proved quite popular since. Aside from wheels and hubcaps, there really wasn’t much that was round anywhere in the design other than the body sides that featured a sculpted character line with a central plateau panel as well as curved side glass, a first on a GM truck. Trim lines were also revamped, ranging from the entry-level Custom to the Custom Deluxe, Cheyenne and top-end Cheyenne Super. They were shuffled for 1975, with the Scottsdale moniker replacing the Cheyenne Super as the top-of-the-line package, while the Custom series was deleted. The next year, Chevy was back up to four trim lines with the addition of the Silverado at the top of the series. By and large, this remained the trim hierarchy for the remainder of series production.

What makes this C10 unique is that it features original paint and sheet metal, has an all new interior, is outfitted with  a killer stereo system, and has a drivetrain that offers modern day performance! Any one of those highlights make for a great find but when you put them all together, you have a truck that you definitely don’t want to pass up. The patina paint is original and has been cleared to preserve the truck’s look. While the bed shows the scars of being cut, the body is straight and there is no body filler. Everything on the interior is brand new and the gauges, stereo, and a/c have all been upgraded for enhanced enjoyment. The upgraded Dakota Digital HDX gauges are much easy to read than the factory ones and the Retro Stereo with JBL speakers is a great addition. By far the best feature of this particular truck is the way it drives! We take each vehicle on a 50 mile round trip drive and this C10 really impressed us. With the upgraded Vortec V8 and performance suspension, everything works like it should and the truck starts, handles, steers, and brakes amazingly well.

A complete list of features and options includes; 5.3L (bored to 5.7L) Vortec V8 (2002 Silverado donor), 24x Crank, LS1 Pistons, BTR Cam Kit, Ported/Polished Heads, Aluminum Radiator w/ Dual Electric Fans, MMS Catch Can, CPP Manifolds, 4L60 Auto w/ Corvette Servos/Shifty Kit/Upgraded Clutches, 2wd, 12 Bolt Rear w/ Yukon Posi and 3:73 Gears, Power Stop Drilled/Slotted Rotors & Pads, Ridetech Street Grip Suspension, Ridetech Steering Kit, Dakota Digital HDX Gauges, Vintage A/C, Retro AM/FM/BT Radio w/Amp and 4 JBL Speakers, Vinyl Bench Seat, Rubber Floormats, Owners Manual, Tinted Glass, Woodgrain Interior Trim, Vent Windows, Chrome Bumpers, Chrome Mirrors, Dual Exhaust, 20″ Revo Wheels, and Thick Nitto Motivo Tires! This is a lot of truck for the money and compared to the newer Chevys, this C10 has a lot more character than anything you’ll find under $40k!
