DESCRIPTION
The Hummer H1, based off the US military’s M998 Humvee released by AM General in 1984, was officially offered for public consumption on March 14th, 1992. With (slightly) more creature comforts, this truck carried several engines over its lifespan, with a 6.5L turbo diesel offered over the majority. Extremely capable, we are confident anyone reading this is already familiar with its excellent ground clearance, approach & departure angles, and water fording capabilities. New for the 2001 H1 line up would be larger, outside heated power mirrors for added visibility, 17” aluminum wheels for better tire selection, better heavy-duty idler arm/pitman arm combination, along with revised dash layout and rear seat armrests for rear seat passengers. Truly the ultimate off-road vehicle for consumer purchase until their departure from General Motors, the H1 has now become quite collectible!
We are very excited to offer this 2001 Hummer H1 4 Passenger Wagon finished in Silver Metallic with a two-tone Gray and Black leather interior. Powering this rugged full-time 4-wheel-drive H1 is a 6.5L Turbo Diesel V8 engine that produces 194 horsepower and 430 lb. ft. of torque mated to a 4-speed automatic transmission with electronic overdrive. These H1 Wagons share most of their components with the original 4-door versions but had an extended roof over the passenger and cargo area. Instead of a tailgate in the rear these Wagons featured side-hinged doors and the last row of windows on the sides were able to slide open.
This H1 Wagon features a factory hardened-aluminum body, composite hood, brush guard, heated windshields, tinted windows, aluminum rocker panels, center console, supplementary gauges for voltage, oil pressure, coolant temp, fuel level, and tire pressures. Other features include air conditioning, power steering, power locks, power windows, CTIS air pressure controller, Torqtrac 4 with ABS brakes, Monsoon premium sound system with rear controls, receiver hitch, cruise control, and 17” aluminum wheels measuring 37×12.50 R17. Upgrades to this Hummer H1 Wagon include Rubber Duck Black Box performance pump-mounted driver, N-Fab side steps, remote start, leather-wrapped removable MOMO steering wheel (original included).
This Hummer H1 has 49,680 miles on the odometer and was sold new from Central Cadillac & Hummer of Cleveland, Ohio. The former owner installed new Nitto AT Terra Grappler G2 tires in April 2020 at 40,500 miles. In 2021, this Hummer received new rear radius arm assemblies with 4-wheel alignment, complete 12K service interval, and new coolant reservoir tank. New front brake calipers/pads and rear rotors/pads along with four shocks were installed within the last 2k miles.
Since its arrival at our museum, our partner company, HummerService.com, has completed a fresh 12K service which is a thorough fluid replacement in the complete drivetrain, differentials, transfer case, and hubs; full suspension lubrication; new fuel filter, engine oil filter, air filter, transmission filter. We also installed a new serpentine belt, rear coil springs, transmission pump seal, rear main engine seal, camshaft plug, fuel tank shield, oil pan gasket, axle output flange seal, geared hub output seals, A/C high pressure switch, A/C receiver drier, door lock actuator, battery hold down bracket, and wiper blades.
Our H1 will come with its original window sticker, owner’s manuals, clean Carfax report, 2 sets of keys, meticulous service records back to 2004, and 2001 Hummer sales brochure with some American General HUMVEE history literature. These H1s remain highly collectible, and this Wagon represents one of only 454 produced for the 2001 model year, and one of just 27 in Silver Metallic! It is a perfectly survived example of a very well-cared for original! It runs down the road very strong, tight, and without complaint! Act fast on this one!
